Mail Online hits new traffic record and Sun Online sees fastest ever growth.
Mail Online has hit a new traffic record of 15.3m unique browsers in August, topping its previous record in July. Over August the Mail Online attracted 248m unique browsers, of which 63m were in the UK. Mail Online are 45% above the 2nd position, theguardian.com which had 8.4m.
Since dropping its paywall last November NewsUK has seen increases across the board, boosted also by relaunching in a mobile-first format in June. The Sun saw an increase of 129% YoY, and 14% MoM, as it saw 2.9m average daily browsers. It is the fastest growing UK newspaper website audited by ABC.
Overall all the titles saw a YoY increase, with the exclusion of Metro which decreased by 10% as it saw 1.3m average daily browsers.
