Plans to make the Eastbourne Gazette a broadsheet newspaper have been announced.
Earlier this week, the Wall Street Journal Europe changed to a broadsheet format.
Now, it seems local newspaper the Eastbourne Gazette is looking to follow in its footsteps.
Johnston Press has announced that it plans to turn the Eastbourne Gazette into a broadsheet newspaper.
The regional publishing giant is also the publisher of the Eastbourne Herald, the second regional newspaper distributed in the seaside town.
The Eastbourne Gazette is released every Tuesday, while the Eastbourne Herald is released every Friday.
Gary Shipon, editor of Johnston Press's Sussex titles said: "We are relaunching the Gazette as a premier, quality weekly broadsheet title packed with ever more news, features and information.
This new look Gazette will launch very soon.
This decision was reached after listening to what you the reader said you wanted.
