A new history title has been launched by Imagine Publishing.
Imagine Publishing has stated that it is trying to "revolutionise the history sector".
With new title Explore History, Imagine Publishing will uphold that.
The new title will include the photography and practical advice often found in consumer travel titles, as well as the storytelling, insight, and authority found in much of the UK's existing history titles.
The first issue of Explore History includes articles covering Machu Piccu, the Great Wall of China, and the history of Prague.
Issue one also explores 25 World Heritage Sights, goes behind the walls of Smithsonian National Museum of American History, and follows the life of Queen Elizabeth 1.
James Hoare, editor in chief, said: Explore History reflects not just the huge interest in history, but the way in which people are engaging with it. While conventional travel guides and travel magazines relegate the past to a few sentences of throwaway trivia, Explore History puts heritage at the heart of the magazine. Behind every battered oak door or every ivy-clad wall are a hundred amazing stories and were excited to be telling them.
The first issue of Explore History is priced at £4.99 on newsstands.
