Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 are looking forward to their annual Stand Up To Cancer charity event. In the lead up they have been encouraging people to fundraise however-the-hell-they-want. The campaign will feature a host of celebrities as it contributes to cancer research.
Metro and Mail Online involvement will be creating a wide range of ad formats, video content and articles across both their print and digital channels. They will be realising a six event series via video edits and branded content. The first event will be Jasmin Walia speed dating, hosted by Will Best.
Head of Stand Up To Cancer, Cancer Research UK, Rachel Carr commented, Weve created some fantastic content with Metro and Mail Online and I hope it will really inspire their audiences to support Stand Up To Cancer. Weve made amazing progress against cancer in the past few decades. But, one in two people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, so there is still more work to be done which is why we need everyone to get involved and help kick cancers ass!
In a joint statement, Creative Director, Metro Story, Sophie Robinson, and Chief Revenue Officer, Mail Brands UK, Mel Scott have said, Metro and Mail Online are thrilled to be joining forces to help call on the nation to Stand Up To Cancer. Its a brilliant cause and were excited to be creating cross-platform content to match the rebellious nature of this years campaign.
Stand Up To Cancel will be on Channel 4 on Friday 21st October 2016.
