A two hour website blackout was carried out in support of an Iraqi Kurdish journalist held in a Turkish prison.
Iraqi Kurdish journalist, Mohammed Rasool, is currently being held in a Turkish prison without charges since he was arrested while working for Vice Media.
In support of Rasool, Vice Media carried out a two hour blackout across all its websites last week.
Rasool has been imprisoned for around eight weeks, and was first arrested while working as a fixer for two British journalists covering the conflict in Turkey's Kurdish south-east region for Vice News.
During the two hour blackout, Vice media directed all of its websites to a petition demanding Rasool's release.
Rasool was arrested on 27th August 2015, with Jake Hanrahan and Philip Pendlebury, two Vice journalists.
Although Hanrahan and Pendlebury were released after 11 days, Rasool remains imprisoned.
