Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join our leadership team. You will oversee all aspects of our financial management and planning, playing a key role in ensuring the financial health and growth of the InterGo Group. Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director and working closely with other senior leaders, you will hold responsibility for the provision of timely and accurate  financial reporting and insights to support decision-making and business success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy & Planning: Support the development and lead the implementation of our financial management and reporting, aligning with business goals. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports, monitor performance, and present insights to stakeholders.
• Commercial Operations: Collaborate across departments to optimise commercial performance, analyse market trends, and support contract negotiations.
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and effective communication.
• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity, oversee credit control, and optimize working capital.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Develop risk management frameworks, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee internal audit functions.
• Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management: Support senior leaders through guidance and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve financial systems, implement new technologies, and drive process improvements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modelling.
• Commercial Insight: Strong commercial awareness with the ability to link financial performance to strategy.
• People Management: Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate financial trends and challenges.
• Communication: Excellent presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills focused on continuous improvement.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in distribution & fulfilment, with knowledge of supply chain logistics preferable.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification: Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience: 5+ years in finance with industry experience in distribution is desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
