Robert Peston, economics editor for the BBC, has been tipped to move to ITV.
The BBC could lose Robert Peston, who has worked for the corporation for almost 10 years.
He is said to be a serious candidate for the role of political editor at ITV News.
Tom Bradby recently left the role at ITV News to become the presenter of News at Ten.
Peston first made waves at the BBC with his reporting of the 2008 financial crisis.
It is also believed that Cathy Newman of Channel 4 News is in the running for the ITV News role.
