Future publishing have announced the launch of a new magazine called Colour Calm, for adults.

Colour Calm is a bi-monthly magazine, which is aimed at the growing adult audience that enjoy colouring in.

In recently months, the benefits of colouring in have become more mainstream.

Many adults are now choosing to purchase so-called 'adult colouring books' to relieve stress.

The most popular 'adult colouring book' is entitled 'The Mindfulness Colouring Book', and is described as a "pocket sized anti-stress colouring book".

A product description on Amazon reads: "Working with your hands is one of the best ways to soothe anxiety and eliminate stress. This stunning, pocket-sized colouring book offers a practical exercise in mindfulness that draws on your creativity and hones your focus.

"Beautifully illustrated, The Mindfulness Colouring Book is filled with templates for exquisite scenes and intricate, sophisticated patterns, prompting you to meditate on your artwork as you mindfully and creatively fill these pages with colour. Illustrator Emma Farrarons is the mastermind behind the book, which first found success in Australia.

Now, Future Publishing is to become the first magazine publishing house to launch an adult colouring in magazine in the UK.

Each issue will be priced at £4.99, and have been described as "perfect for creative colouring using felt pens or crayons".

Colour Calm magazine will be published six times per year, with each issue 116 pages long.

Future have stated that the magazine will be printed on high quality paper, and "packed with beautiful patterns that promote relaxation and creativity".
