Editor of The Scottish Sun, Gordon Smart, joins The Sun as deputy editor.

Smart has worked as the editor for The Scottish Sun since 2013.

He joined The Sun Newspapers in 2004, beginning his career writing for the show business pages.

Smart began his career with DC Thomson in Dundee, then went on to edit The Sun's Bizarre column.

He has also spent time as a radio host on XFM.

The Sun has also recently announced that Dan Wootton, editor of Bizarre, will be promoted to associate editor for TV and showbiz, while Will Payne has been promoted to deputy editor of The Sun Online.
