Controversial Katie Hopkins is leaving The Sun to become a columnist for Mail Online.

The Daily Mail's online counterpart, Mail Online has gained controversial public figure Katie Hopkins as a columnist.

Hopkins is set to leave The Sun, where she has received numerous complaints about her controversial opinions.

In April 2015, Hopkins penned a column about the current migrant crisis, in which she described those fleeing war torn countries as "cockroaches".

Hopkins will start her career at Mail Online on 1st November 2015.

Former Apprentice star Hopkins has been the subject of many articles previously written for the Mail Online, not all (if any) positive.
