The pro-EU newspaper is to continue publishing beyond trial period.
Following a successful four-week trial period, the New European will continue to be published.
It's publisher has announced that the title beat its sales targets during it's trial period.
The 'newspaper for the 48%' sold more than 40, 000 copies of it's first edition.
It will continue to be published on a rolling basis, according to publisher Archant.
Contributors to date include Howard Jacobson, Alastair Campbell, Jonathan Freedland, and Saul Klein.
Archant chief of content, Matt Kelly, said: Were thrilled at the reaction and support weve seen for this most unorthodox newspaper launch. We will continue to publish into the zeitgeist until that moment passes.
Chief marketing officer Will Hattam said: We have the scale to produce a quality print product for a national audience, but also the agility to turn things around fast and cost effectively enough to profitably service a community that has popped into existence overnight. Well only produce the paper for as long as our readers still want it.
