After 63 years, The Angling Times is moving from a newspaper format to a glossy magazine.
The Angling Times is being revamped into a glossy magazine from a newspaper format.
According to the title, the change comes from readers complaints that the newspaper format was too difficult to read by the river.
The Angling Times is owned by Bauer Media.
As well as transforming into a glossy magazine, the title will also increase pagination from 64 to 84 pages.
The new pages will be a mix of advertising and editorial content.
We have spent the last eight months just talking to our readers about producing a new Angling Times. One of the things that come out was being able to read it on the bank. Its quite a big step as it has been a newspaper since 1953. said Steve Fitzpatrick, editor at the title.
The new glossy magazine style will change the title from tabloid size to A4.
In its new style, The Angling Times will be sold with other glossy fishing titles.
The price of the tile will remain at £1.99 per issue.
