The final print edition of The Independent has been sent to press.
The front page of the final edition of The Independent reads simply "STOP PRESS".
Aside from the special front page, the paper runs as normal inside.
Four special magazines are included in the final print edition, which look back at the history of the title.
Last month, Alexander and Evgeny Lebedev announced that The Independent and The Independent on Sunday would cease to exist in printed versions.

The Independent was launched in 1986, by a group of journalists led by Andreas Whittam Smith.
The newspaper enjoyed early success, with circulation passing 400, 000 in 1988.
The Independent on Sunday launched in 1990, with Stephen Glover as editor.
Of the 160 journalists working on The Independent, 100 are expected to lose their jobs.
The remaining 60 are said to be transferring to the digital version of the title, or moving to the i.
