Allegra Stratton, political editor for BBC Newsnight, is to move to ITV News.
Stratton is to leave the BBC for the role of national editor at ITV News.

An ITV statement said: Allegra will work across ITV News full range of programmes, appearing frequently on News at Ten. In her new role, she will provide insight and in-depth analysis of the domestic and policy issues that matter to our viewers.
Allegra Stratton started her career at the BBC as a producer with This Week and Newsnight. She then moved to The Guardian, where she worked as a political correspondent.
Stratton has also previously written for the Times, the Independent, and the New Statesman.
