£3M has been invested in the launch of a new weekly fitness magazine for men, called Coach.
Coach magazine is being launched by Dennis Publishing, and will be released on a weekly basis.
Ten editorial staff have already been employed by Coach, with an additional seven people being employed to work on the magazine's website.
Coach has a free distribution of around 300, 000 copies.
200, 000 of these copies will be distributed by hand in London, while the remaining 100, 000 copies will be available via gyms, hotels, sports clubs and shops.
Shortlist magazine is a free weekly mens magazine already on the market. It has a 500, 000 circulation, and will now be in competition with Coach.
At the core of the Coach concept is the idea that all men can improve themselves whether long-standing gym enthusiasts or fitness newbies.
Dennis defined the audience clusters using TGI and extensive focus group data which proved that almost half of men aged 24-55 in the UK want to do more to improve their health.
As everyones health and fitness interests are as unique as their fingerprint, the magazine mixes general advice, interesting tips, amazing facts and inspiration in an easy to consume package. said a spokesperson for Dennis Publishing.
