The DC Thomson title is celebrating 140 years in print.
The first edition of The Evening Telegraph was published on 13th March 1877.
The title now boasts 42,848 issues, and is marking the occasion with the publication of a souvenir magazine which will feature the original 1877 masthead.
Steven Bell, editor of The Evening Standard, said: Were proud to be the go-to source for people wanting to know whats happening in Dundee and beyond, just as we have been for the past 140 years.
The city has changed a lot in that time, and continues to evolve today with the £1billion transformation of the Waterfront, the creation of the new V&A Museum and so much more.
We look forward to continuing to chronicle these developments and everything else thats going on in Dundee.
