Buzzfeed has appointed James Ball, former Gaurdian special projects editor, to join Buzzfeed UK.

Buzzfeed UK has been growing it's UK operation dramatically in 2015.

A number of national press journalists have joined Buzzfeed UK in recent months.

The most recent appointment has been James Ball, former special projects editor for The Guardian UK.

Ball has joined Buzfeed UK, and will officially start his new role in September 2015.

He is joining former Guardian deputy editor Janine Gibson, who joined Buzzfeed UK as editor in chief.

Michael Gillard, former Sunday Times writer, has also been recruited by Buzzfeed alongside former Sunday Times Insight journalist Heidi Blake.

BBC Panorama's Jane Bradley has also been appointed, as well as Tom Warren from the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
