Latest ABCs show Metro's web traffic has decreased by 37% year on year.
The website ABCs for September 2015 have shown that the web counterpart of daily free title Metro has seen a 37% decrease in traffic year on year.
In September, an average figure of 925, 535 daily unique browsers were recorded on Metro.co.uk.
This figure was not only down 37% year on year, but also down 34% on August 2015.
The Mirror followed closely behind Metro as the second worst performing website.
Just 3.9M unique daily browsers were recorded by the Mirror website in September 2015.
This was a huge year on year decrease, which Pete Picton (editorial director at Mirror Online) put down to "an extraordinary September 2014 which saw a story about Jennifer Lawrence go viral around the world."
In September 2015, according to ABC, all tabloid newspaper websites lost readers compared to Augsut 2015 (that is, except for the Express).
Mail Online, the UK's biggest newspaper website, was down 2% to 13.3M while The Daily Star was down 35% to 570, 609.
Mirror Online was down 9% in the latest ABC figures, while The Sun dropped 14% to fall behind Express.co.uk.
The only national newspapers to see website growth month on month in September 2015, were The Independent and The Guardian.
8.4M unique browsers were recorded by TheGuardian.com, which was an 11% increase on August 2015 and a 29% increase year on year.
2.8M unique browsers were recorded by The Independent's website in the same period, which was a 10% increase on August 2015 and a 16% increase year on year.
