We look forward to receiving your information and cv regarding a role with InterMedia
The company behind Mixmag has bought rock music magazine Kerrang! and defunct hip style title The Face from Bauer Media.
Wasted Talent Ltd Media has reinvented Mixmag in recent years by expanding online and in digital video and hopes to do the same with the Kerrang! and The Face.
The publishers plan to turn Kerrang! from a print weekly to a monthly in the UK and focus on building its global, digital audience. They also plan to revive The Face, which closed in 2004, as a digital brand.
The deal sees Bauer Media retain rights to the brand in the UK and Europe "to continue broadcasting Kerrang! Radio and Kerrang! TV".
Jerry Perkins, CEO of Wasted Talent ltd said: In a post-Vice world, we believe there are exciting opportunities for these iconic and market-defining media brands to offer commercial partners specialist advice, inside knowledge, access to talent and the story-telling skills to help them create influential content. Were really excited by the potential to create a media powerhouse based on passionate tribes leading counter culture.
Commenting on the acquisition of The Face, Jerry Perkins added: The Face was the original style magazine and in our opinion, has never been bettered. We believe there is an opportunity to bring this iconic brand back. We have some very exciting plans which we will be announcing later in the year.
Mixmag claims a global reach of over 20 million fans a month. Its YouTube channel has eight million video views every month and it has five million on Facebook a month.
