Recently launched daily newspaper New Day has closed.
Britain's first new standalone national newspaper in 30 years has closed.
New Day, just nine weeks after launch, has made the decision to discontinue.
The Trinity Mirror title has cited the cause of the closure as low circulation.
Each day, Trinity Mirror hoped to sell 200, 000 copies of New Day.
Unfortunately, only around 40, 000 copies were sold.
In a trading update, Trinity Mirror said: "Although the New Day has received many supportive reviews and built a strong following on Facebook, the circulation for the title is below our expectations.
"Whilst disappointing, the launch and subsequent closure have provided new insights into enhancing our newspapers and a number of these opportunities will be considered over time."
Some readers have criticised New Day's lack of leader column, and it's focus on features rather than news.
The price increase from 25p to 50p per issue also left the title struggling, with more people opting for freesheets such as the Metro and the Evening Standard.
