Older generation use tablets more than teenagers

A consumer study has revealed that the number of 55+ year olds using tablets has increased.

TouchPoints by the UPA has revealed that there has been a huge increase in the number of those aged 55+ using tablet devices across the UK.

Time spent on tablet devices in the 55+ group has increased by 84% since last year.

In comparison, the 15 - 24 year olds category has seen a 43% increase for the same period.

The study found that over time, time spent on tablet devices has increased across all age groups.

In those aged 55+, time spent has increased by 19 minutes per day, while the millennial group has seen a 12 minute per day increase.

Those aged 65+, according to the survey, spend as much time using tablet devices as 15 - 20 year olds.
