The cover price of new title, The New Day, is to remain at 25p per issue.
Sales of The New Day currently stand at around 110, 000 copies per day.
Although it was reported that The New Day would raise in price to 50p per issue, Trinity Mirror has announced that it will maintain the 25p price.
The New Day will continue at a trial price of 25p at the moment. As we said when we announced the paper, our marketing and pricing strategy is fluid while we are still launching the title.
It will probably be 25p for a few weeks more but the plan is flexible at the moment. said a Trinity Mirror spokesperson.
Sales of The New Day are reported to have fallen by 25% since it's first day of paid-for sales.
It is thought that on the first day it sold around 150, 000 copies.
The New Day has a target of 200, 000 copies sold per day.
