A new standalone digital title is being launched by Trinity Mirror in Ireland.

Trinity Mirror claims that 'Dublin Live' will be a "one-stop shop for all things Dublin."

Dublin Live follows in the footsteps of Belfast Live, which was launched by Trinity Mirror in February 2015.

Trinity Mirror is said to be launching Dublin Live in mid-April 2016.

Dublin Live will feature local interest news stories, live breaking news, local sport, entertainment, events, and listings.

The new title will not have a print edition.

“We want to be the voice of the city and platform for Dubliners to be proud of and share in. We’ll be encouraging readers to send in their videos and pictures on social platforms sharing the best of what a wonderful city has to offer.

“The team will focus on live breaking news and live blog from the big events happening across the city. We will have What’s On guides, reviews and so much more, bringing everything that’s happening in Dublin together on one dynamic website.” said editor of Dublin Live, Alana Fearon.
