Glasgow Live, a standalone digital website, has been launched by Trinity Mirror.

Following the launch of Dublin Live and Belfast Live, Trinity Mirror have launched Glasgow Live.

Glasgow Live will be run by a team of ten journalists.

The website will produce local news and features, including weather and traffic reports.

It was launched following the success of both Dublin Live and Belfast Live, with the latter claiming to have seen more than one million unique users in less than five months.

Editor of Glasgow Live, Gregor Kyle, said: “We will be taking a positive approach to our stories and won’t be telling our readers what to think about an issue, instead delivering the facts in a completely neutral voice.

“We will also be embracing all forms of digital and social media and interacting with our readers across a range of platforms, putting them at the heart of the news.”
